If you are looking to experience Malta in a less conventional manner, this is perfect for you! Packing in adrenalin with a more adventurous way of experiencing culture, you will get to see our beautiful islands through various modes of transport and with a different lens.
Our Unconventional Malta Experience includes a minimum 3 night stay in one of our Deluxe Rooms and includes the following experiences:
- Quad biking along the southern beaches – Quad biking is one of the most popular and exciting experiences in Malta. Our suggested itinerary takes you to the southern part of Malta, where you can see some of Malta’s less known but most stunning beaches. From Peter’s Pool to Kalanka Bay and St Thomas Bay, you will get to see the Mediterranean Sea and the Maltese rock formations at their best. The fishing village of Marsaxlokk is also nearby, so you can squeeze in a visit to the local fish market or treat yourself to a sumptuous feast of fish in one of the many restaurants we can recommend.
- Trial Flight over the Maltese Islands – Trial flight lessons, also known as air experience flights, is where you get a hands-on experience into what microlight flying is all about with a flying instructor. The aircraft are two-seaters, meaning that it is just the pilot and yourself, unless you prefer going on larger aircraft. The flight will follow either the east or west coast of Malta up to Comino, then return via Malta’s opposite coast. Areas of interest – Dingli Cliffs, Golden Bay area, Anchor Bay (Popeye Village), Blue Lagoon in Comino, Mellieha Bay, Xemxija Bay and St Paul’s Islands, St Julian’s and Valletta’s Grand Harbour. Along the way you will get the chance to take some amazing photos and, at some point, the pilot will give you the reins to fly the aircraft yourself!
- Walk Trail in Gozo – The island of Gozo has an amazing coastline and this hiking trail is a great way of exploring some of it. Your guides, a couple of adventure-loving and curious Lithuanians who live in Gozo have put together a fantastic route that takes you from Marsalforn, in the north part of the island, all the way to Dwejra and the fallen Azure window on the western side of Gozo. Along the way, you will walk past the salt pans in Xwejni Bay, Wied il-Ghasri valley (where you may also take a dip in the water) and Wied il-Mielah valley. Your hosts will also serve a picnic lunch with some local food and wine.
This is a great experience for anybody who loves the outdoors and going off the beaten track.
